I strive to write in a way that will conjure pictures in the mind’s eye of the reader, and I strive to make pictures that will suggest a metaphorical view of creation.

This site is dedicated to my two greatest artistic loves, the word and the image. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that is true, but sometimes a thousand words can convey more than a picture can show. And sometimes a word is worth a thousand pictures. Think of the word “Maui” for instance. I have been in love with the written word ever since I was old enough to sit on my mother’s knee and be read to. And I have been in love with the photographic image ever since my father gave me a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about ten years old. Over the years I have studied both extensively and have made works of art with each. My love of words led to a Gold Award for Fiction from the Colorado Independent Publishers Association. My love of photography has led to my recent acceptance to the Littleton Fine Arts Guild and the opportunity to show my work at the Depot Art Gallery.

The photos in the slide show above are some of my latest work.
